This setting allows your GPU to go full throttle on the game and produce maximum performance. While in this mode, the GPU is kept at higher frequencies. Power Management Mode: Prefer Max Performance. Reducing System Latency: Enable Max Frame Rate and set your power management mode to Prefer maximum performance to reduce latency. Optimal power - will let the GPU work less when its full power is actually not needed, while still giving 100 when you are playing your daily dose of vidya. If either of these modes are enabled at the same time as Max Frame Rate, the NVIDIA Control Panel will cap the framerate to the lowest of the limits. And when you’re not gaming, the GPU has quieter or even idleĪnd emits less heat, which we can all appreciate on hot summer days. While it sounds like it might give bigger performance, actually all it does is waste power during undemanding tasks, while in demanding tasks it will perform identically with Optimal. And of course, with increased performance efficiency comes better overall performance-per-watt, giving you more frames for every watt of power.Īltogether, this means you get a faster GPU that operates at lower temperatures, enabling quieter fan speeds, ensuring your gaming isn’t drowned out by fan noise. In the case of GeForce RTX graphics cards, numerous industry-firsts enable unprecedented performance efficiency on a 12nm process node, that is still to date more efficient than any other architecture. Power efficiency comes from all aspects of a graphics card’s design, not just the size of the process node it was built on. you may get gpu downclocking to reduce fan speeds and make card more silent when there's no work to do, while in. while in performance it will always keep it at 3.0. in balanced / normal the gpu may downgrades the pci-e bus speed to pci-e 2.0 at low usage to save power and go up to 3.0 as needed. With better power efficiency you generate less heat, which means the GPU can be cranked up to higher levels, resulting in higher clock speeds, and giving the GPU’s designers the thermal and power capacity to add more Ray Tracing Cores and other doodads to the chip. I don't know about nVidia specifically but I'd suspect it's just something like. The only benefit i see using maximum power is to help maintain highly overclocked GPU with constant voltage, having playing gwent card that reduce GPU usage to. Power efficiency is of critical importance in the world of GPUs. When true, rebase the branch on top of the fetched branch, instead of merging the default branch from the default remote when "git pull" is run.Īs a side git config -help is your friend. See "toSetupMerge" for details on how to set up a branch to track another branch. It'll give you history looking something like this: - x - x - x - x (develop) \ / x - x - x (origin/master) Your local master branch is irrelevant in this. It only affects your current branch, not your local master branch. When always, rebase will be set to true for all tracking branches. git pull origin master pulls the master branch from the remote called origin into your current branch. When remote, rebase is set to true for tracked branches of remote-tracking branches. When local, rebase is set to true for tracked branches of other local branches. If you don't want to integrate new changes directly, then you can instead use git fetch: this will only download new changes, but leave your HEAD branch and working copy files untouched. When a new branch is created with git branch or git checkout that tracks another branch, this variable tells Git to set up pull to rebase instead of merge When never, rebase is never automatically set to true. By default, this integration will happen through a 'merge', but you can also choose a 'rebase': git pull origin master -rebase. tosetuprebase ( git config -global tosetuprebase always): There are two common ways to move the changes from the central repo to a remote repo, like the live server: git merge and git pull. When true ( git config true) rebase branches on top of the fetched branch, instead of merging the default branch from the default pull.rebase which is equivalent to git pull -rebase (combine a series of commits to a new base commit):.There are three levels of configuration for default pull behavior: Git pull combines a git fetch and git merge. More recently though with the Vengevine lists, it was Stitcher’s Supplier. There are a few cards that have fit into this slot over the years, like Insolent Neonate. Granted, it’s over three turns but it’s still a very efficient rate. Shriekhorn: This might seem like a bit of a weird inclusion, but in most matches it’s guaranteed to mill 6 cards for a single mana. This is one of the best cards in our deck. So what are the enablers? Mostly looting effects:įaithless Looting: Ideally we use this when our Dredge cards are already in the graveyard, but frequently we use it just to get our first dredgers in the yard and make sure we get our second land so we can flashback Conflagrate later in the game.Ĭathartic Reunion: This card really changed the game for the deck as it lets us discard the dredgers that we have in hand as part of the cost and then use their Dredge ability when we draw to mill ourselves. The enablers are the cards that get the Dredge train out of the station to begin with. He triggers Prized Amalgam and is a 1/1 flier for free. Narcomoeba: Comes into play off of your Dredge and other milling effects. As a bonus he also gets haste if your opponent is at less than 10 life. Your Bloodghasts and Narcomoebas ensure that he triggers frequently.īloodghast: Comes back from the graveyard every time you play a land, with fetchlands and Life from the Loam, it’s but a certainty that you’ll hit your land drops. Prized Amalgam: He’s a 3/3 that comes back whenever a creature enters from your graveyard. The Payoffīut what’s the point of milling yourself so much? What’s the payoff? These are what we are attempting to mill: Golgari Thug: Just a nice dredger that has some random utility that matters sometimes if you ever cast him. Stinkweed Imp: Our best dredger as well as a nice blocker if the game goes long, since he has a form of deathtouch. It also fills our hand up nicely for Conflagrate flashback. Life from the Loam: Since we aren’t drawing cards, this is the only way to get more lands if we need them. So with cards like Cathartic Reunion, you can potentially mill up to 15 cards if you hit 3 Stinkweed Imps. If you stuff your deck full of dredge cards then that means that you could have a graveyard full of dredge cards and keep the train going as long as you can keep drawing cards. But what this mechanic means is that at any time, if you would ever draw a card, you can instead just put a Dredge card back into your hand and put however many cards it says from your library into your graveyard. Otherwise, draw a card” The number doesn’t have to be three, and cards in the deck actually range from Dredge 2 to Dredge 5. If you do, return this card from your graveyard to your hand. Dredge reads “Dredge 3 (If you would draw a card, instead you may put exactly three cards from the top of your library into your graveyard. The Gameplanĭredge as a deck is based around a mechanic called, you guessed it: Dredge. If you haven’t seen the deck before, let me try to quickly break down what the deck wants to do. They love to put large swaths of their deck into the graveyard at once, thus easily getting to play multiple Chills for free. It’s not hard to imagine why Dredge would want to throw this into their deck. If you missed this card when looking through the spoilers, here’s a closer look: Hey everyone! Welcome to another Modern Musings! This week we are going to talk about the newest addition to Dredge that has it posting results again: Creeping Chill. I've read on the forums that I need to shrink the partitions (?) of my old hard drive, but I'm not even sure if this is why my HD is grayed out or if this is a good solution. Even after formatting my new hd, 460 gbs are available, so I don't understand why I can't clone my old hard drive. Go to Start-> Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Computer Management, then. I understand that it would be impossible to clone 1tb of data into a 500gb hd, but of the 1tb hard drive, only 400gb is used. Solution M mbreslin1954 I think Windows Disk Manager will allow you to shrink your 1 TB partition. I am trying to clone my old HD (1tb) into my new HD (500gb). There are three options to choose as the backup destination: Your External Drive (a Western Digital drive) that must be attached to your laptop or PC (source device), NAS (a Western Digital NAS device) or simply use the Browse. I am using Acronis True Image, but when I reach the prompt to choose a destination drive, all hard drives are grayed out, so I can't click them. His grandfather was a founder of the college and his father was a trustee. In the fall of 1822, 15-year-old Longfellow enrolled at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, along with his brother Stephen. He spent much of his summers as a child at his grandfather Peleg's farm in Hiram, Maine. He studied at the Portland Academy until age 14. He published his first poem in the Portland Gazette on November 17, 1820, a patriotic and historical four-stanza poem called "The Battle of Lovell's Pond". His mother encouraged his enthusiasm for reading and learning, introducing him to Robinson Crusoe and Don Quixote. In his years there, he earned a reputation as being very studious and became fluent in Latin. Longfellow attended a dame school at the age of three and was enrolled by age six at the private Portland Academy. They included Mayflower Pilgrims Richard Warren, William Brewster, and John and Priscilla Alden through their daughter Elizabeth Pabodie, the first child born in Plymouth Colony. Longfellow was descended from English colonists who settled in New England in the early 1600s. He was named after his mother's brother Henry Wadsworth, a Navy lieutenant who had died three years earlier at the Battle of Tripoli. His mother was descended from Richard Warren, a passenger on the Mayflower. His father was a lawyer, and his maternal grandfather was Peleg Wadsworth, a general in the American Revolutionary War and a Member of Congress. He grew up in what is now known as the Wadsworth-Longfellow House. Longfellow was born on February 27, 1807, to Stephen Longfellow and Zilpah (Wadsworth) Longfellow in Portland, Maine, then a district of Massachusetts. Life and work Early life and education Birthplace of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Portland, Maine, c. He has been criticized for imitating European styles and writing poetry that was too sentimental. He became the most popular American poet of his day and had success overseas. Longfellow wrote many lyric poems known for their musicality and often presenting stories of mythology and legend. After her death, Longfellow had difficulty writing poetry for a time and focused on translating works from foreign languages. His second wife, Frances Appleton, died in 1861 after sustaining burns when her dress caught fire. His first wife, Mary Potter, died in 1835 after a miscarriage. He retired from teaching in 1854 to focus on his writing, and he lived the remainder of his life in the Revolutionary War headquarters of George Washington in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His first major poetry collections were Voices of the Night (1839) and Ballads and Other Poems (1841). He graduated from Bowdoin College and became a professor there and, later, at Harvard College after studying in Europe. Longfellow was born in Portland, District of Maine, Massachusetts (now Portland, Maine). He was the first American to completely translate Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy and was one of the fireside poets from New England. His original works include the poems " Paul Revere's Ride", " The Song of Hiawatha", and " Evangeline". Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (Febru– March 24, 1882) was an American poet and educator. |
